Saving College Football

It all started in Baton Rouge, Louisiana in the summer of 2020. At the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, the unthinkable had happened. The NCAA was considering cancelling the college football season.

GLOBAL PANDEMIC

In an attempt to salvage the season, league officials decided to "stop the spread" by requiring players to wear restrictive face shields, which made helmets hot and difficult to breathe in.

LSU

Teams hated the new policy, and many players threatened to sit out the season. Coaches & staff at LSU, who had just won the NCAA title, were desperate for a way to keep players comfortable in the brutal south Louisiana summer heat.

THE GARAGE

We immediately got to work. In the New Orleans garage of Tigeraire founder Jack Karavich, we started tinkering with fans, tubing, and batteries to see if we could improve helmet airflow.

THE CYCLONE

After countless prototypes and trials, the Tigeraire Cyclone was finally born. It quickly took LSU and soon college football by storm. The Cyclone is now enjoyed by football athletes at all levels.

How do Air Accelerators® help me stay cool?

Alongside proper hydration and scheduled breaks, airflow has emerged as a highly effective means of reducing core body temperature. While airflow applied to any part of the body can offer relief, focusing it on the head delivers outsized benefits. The human head, which accounts for about 20% of the body's heat output, is a central hub for thermoregulation. This is the foundational principle for Tigeraire product innovation. When you wear a Tigeraire Air Accelerator® product, your head's perspiration is continually evaporated and your head stays cool. The cooled blood flow then circulates down through the rest of your body, increasing comfort even in the hottest weather.

How can I track my order?

Once your order has been shipped, you'll receive a shipping confirmation email containing tracking information. Simply click the tracking link to view the status of your order. You'll also receive an email when your order is out for delivery, and once more when it has been delivered.

What's the warranty on your products?

The Air Accelerator® warranty is on manufacturer’s defects, which is one (1) year from the original date of purchase.

Can I return or exchange an item?

Yes, an unopened Air Accelerator® product may be returned for a full refund within thirty (30) days of purchase. Shipping costs are nonrefundable and the customer is responsible for any associated shipping fees.
